Boys Basketball:
Damien is off to a great start in the 2024-25 season.
The Spartans have now defeated Troy (80-41), Ontario Christian (68-39) and Villa Park (70-42) at the Sunny Hills Tournament by a combined margin of 218-122.
DHS had a 38-19 lead at the half.
Nate Garcia had a game-high 21 points.
Jayden Avina finished with 13 points, and Lucas Arrieta scored 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Jacob Allen chipped in with eight points for DHS.
Dakari Harris led Villa Park with 14 points.
Tristan Griffin hit a pair of 3’s and finished with 11 points in the loss.
Up next: The Spartans will battle La Habra on Friday night at Sunny Hills High School.
