Boys Basketball:
San Dimas opened the 2024-25 season with a 61-44 victory over Schurr at the Ayala showcase.
Nathan Yearout had a game-high 19 points for the Saints.
Yearout scored 13 of those 19 in the second half.
SDHS led 12-5 after eight minutes, and they took a 27-14 advantage into the half.
Jeremiah Garzon chipped in with 12 points and Luke Chavez had 11.
Jesse Supulveda led the Schurr offense with 12 points, while Seth White and Jacob Viramontes scored seven points apiece in the loss.
Up next: SDHS will battle Calvary Baptist on Saturday at 3:50.
