SDHS Dominates First-Place South Hills to Take Over Sole Possession of Hacienda League’s Top Spot; Torres Contributed 11 Kills

Girls Volleyball:

San Dimas has found a way to grind out Hacienda League wins even without their injured star, Jayden Hanson.

The Saints knocked off previously unbeaten South Hills to take sole possession of the Hacienda League penthouse.

And it wasn’t even close.

SDHS swept SHHS by scores of 25-6, 25-12 and 25-12.

Bobbie Torres led the charge on offense, posting an impressive 11 kills on 19 attempts, while also contributing two blocks.

Priscilla Romero had a well-rounded performance, notching six kills on nine attempts, and dishing out 14 assists as the team’s setter.

On defense, Natalie Starkey led the way, racking up six digs and serving up four aces.

Audrey Sanchez also played a key role in setting up the offense, tallying 10 assists.

Up next: The Saints travel to Alta Loma next Wednesday at 4.
