Mt. SAC Dominates Allan Hancock in Saturday’s 41-19 Victory in Santa Maria; Mounties Had 443-220 Advantage in Total Offense

Football:

Mt. SAC, the second-ranked program in the most recent JCAB state poll, cruised to a 41-19 victory at Allan Hancock.

The Mounties led 28-0 and 34-3 before the Bulldogs scored a pair of late TD’s.

MSAC had advantages in first downs (30-11), total offense (443-220), passing (258-156) and rushing (185-64).

The Mounties took a 14-0 first-quarter lead after getting TD passes from a pair of quarterbacks.

Noah Fuailetolo hit Elijah Crook on a 30-yard score, and Jack Benson tossed a 36-yard TD pass to Alonzo Brown.

Fuailetolo completed 21 of 32 for 208 yards and the one score, and Benson was 3-of-3 for 50 yards and a TD.

Neither Fuailetolo nor Benson was picked.

Devin Miles had game-highs in carries (14) and rushing yards (72).

Miles contributed a 3-yard TD run with 1:50 to play in the first half.

Samuel Green had a pair of 1-yard TD runs, and he finished with 22 rushing yards on five carries.

Former Chaffey running back Jayson Cortes gained 29 yards on seven carries, including a 5-yard TD run.

Adrion Boyd carried the ball six times for 48 yards in the win.

Brown had three receptions for 60 yards and the TD.

De’shon Thompson had five catches for 56 yards, and Nicolas Ceballos caught three passes for 45 yards.

Crook finished with 33 receiving yards on two catches and one TD.

Drake Missamore completed 5-of-8 for Allan Hancock for 95 yards.

Missamore tossed a 60-yard TD pass to Makai Puga with 1:10 to play in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs pulled off a rarity on Saturday.

After Cortes’ TD run for Mt. SAC, Dylan Heath returned the extra-point attempt 97 yards and two points the other way.

Tyondre Coleman led the Mounties with six tackles, and Antonio Mayes had four.

Brayden Hapner intercepted a pass for MSAC.

Up next: The Mounties host Citrus College next Saturday at 6.

The Owls (2-1) cruised to a 48-13 victory over Grossmont.
