Football:
It’s not politically correct to say.
But Kaiser had zero chance of beating its visitors from Bonita in Friday’s week-four contest in Fontana.
The Bearcats jumped on the Cats for 23 points in the first quarter, and they cruised to a 47-0 victory.
KHS is now 0-5, and they’ve been outscored, 238-18.
On the flip side, BHS is 5-0, and they’ve defeated Muir, Ontario Christian, Grand Terrace, San Dimas and Kaiser by a combined margin of 205-48.
Leading 2-0 thanks to a bad KHS snap, Bonita’s sophomore stud, Joseph Lara, for all intents and purposes, put the game away early.
Lara caught a 52-yard TD strike from Travis Lippert.
Shortly thereafter, Lara sprinted into the end zone from 39 yards out, and the Bearcats led 16-0.
Drew Apodaca had TD runs of 3 and 41 yards.
Stephen Lenehan, one of the SGV’s most reliable kickers, booted a 30-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Daiveon Woodley had a pair of TD catches.
Woodley caught a 15-yard scoring strike from Lippert in the first half, and a 41-yard TD pass from Owen Hughes.
Up next: The Bearcats will take their bye week, and on October 4th, BHS will battle Glendora at Citrus College in the Sierra League opener for both programs.
The Tartans (2-2) never trailed in Friday’s 29-14 victory at Ayala.
