Chino Hills got off to a slow start in their week-two contest on a hot Friday night.

But the Huskies found their rhythm in the second quarter, and they cruised to a 35-7 victory over their winless visitors from Colony.

Trailing 7-0, Jacob Jimenez rumbled into the end zone from six yards out.

CHHS had their extra-point blocked and with 2:46 left in the first half, Colony held on to a 7-6 lead.

Just over two minutes later, Calum Ferrel reeled in a 20-yard TD pass from Alex Medyn.

Connor Dakovich converted on the 2-point run and the Huskies took a 14-7 lead into the break.

Chino Hills outscored Colony, 21-0, in the second half for victory No. 2 in 2024.

AJ Quijas capped off a 75-yard drive with a 10-yard TD run midway through the third quarter.

Quijas extended the CHHS lead to 28-7 when he scored on a 5-yard run with 47 seconds remaining in the third.

Jimenez closed out the scoring with a five-yard TD run with 5:37 to play.

Up next: CHHS travels to JW North next Friday at 7.

The Huskies fell to 0-3 after Thursday’s 24-14 loss at Riverside King.
