Girls Tennis:

The two MHS’s squared off for the first time in three seasons.

In their last contest, it came down to the wire, with Maranatha prevailing, 10-8.

This year’s match was close as well.

With the Lady Minutemen ahead, 3-2, the round’s final set was at #2 singles, where Mia Su battled with her opponent to 6-6, forcing a tie-breaker, which the Wildcats won, 7-6(4).

That evened the overall match at 3-3.

The second round is where the Lady Minutemen did their damage, as the Wildcats made a couple of substitutions.

Maranatha won all 3 singles sets and 2 of 3 doubles sets, putting them ahead, 8-4.

Su found herself in yet another tiebreaker, but this time prevailed, 7-6(2).

Maranatha made some substitutions of their own in the 3rd round, but they managed to stave off a Wildcat rally for the 11-7 victory.
