Baseball:
The Orange County Juice and San Gabriel Valley Monarchs had arguably the best pitchers’ duel of the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League regular season.
Both programs featured four pitchers each, and they provided eight scoreless innings apiece.
The Juice got one run in the top of the ninth inning and the Monarchs matched them in the bottom half, and they settled for a 1-1 tie.

Luke Willison walked, singled and scored for the Juice.
Manolo Tafolla and Kyle Lewis had one single apiece for the OCJ.
Joey Capobianco went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Jadon Gonzalez drew a pair of walks and singled.
David Shackleford went 2-for-3 with a walk and he scored the Monarchs’ lone run.
Adrian Roman and Shane Dougherty had one singled apiece for the SGVM.
