Baseball:
The California Outlaws took a 9-4 lead into the bottom of the seventh inning in Monday’s Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League game against the San Gabriel Valley Monarchs.
The Monarchs, however, scored four times in the seventh, twice in the eighth and once in the ninth as both programs settled for an 11-11 tie.
The game featured 22 runs, 28 hits, nine pitchers.
The Outlaws and Monarchs combined for nine extra-base hits.
All nine pitchers surrendered at least one run, and each of the eight that went more than one inning allowed two hits and two runs or more.
Offensive standouts:
Outlaws: Austin Easter went 2-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, a run and one RBI.
Marcus Moyer tripled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Clay Porter had two singles, a sac fly, and four RBIs.
Jason Del Villar went 2-for-5 and scored a pair of runs.
Seth Reker singled three times, scored twice and drove in one run
Diego Frey went 2-for-3 with a walk, sac fly, double, two runs and an RBI.
Michael McQueen walked and scored.
Ian Wolski drew a pair of walks and scored two runs.
Monarchs: Jake Trabbie went 3-for-4 with a walk, double, home run, three runs and drove in three.
Ivan Barragan singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one.
David Shackleford doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Jack Esguerra walked, singled twice and scored.
Daniel Moreno went 3-for-5 and scored two runs.
Adrian Roman walked, singled and doubled.
Matt Rice walked, scored and had an RBI.
Alex Salazar had a pair of singles.
Up next: Both programs will be in action on Wednesday at Ben Hines Field in La Verne.
The Outlaws take on the OC Juice at 1, and the Monarchs and VC Bucs face off at 4.
