Baseball:
With Wednesday’s Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League game tied at 3-3, the San Gabriel Monarchs scored eight times in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Arroyo Seco Royals, 11-6, at Ben Hines Field in La Verne.
Alex Salazar was credited with the win after going one scoreless inning, and he allowed one hit and struck out one Royals’ batter.
Brennan and Blake Beckley combined to go 3-for-8 with a double, run and one RBI.
Patrick Fregoso walked, singled twice, scored and drove in one.
Keedan Nadeau doubled and scored.
AJ Anzai drew a pair of walks, scored and had one RBI.
Aden Laureano singled and scored.
JL Goldman drew a pair of walks and singled.
Dylan Zdunek went 2-for-3 with a walk and one RBI.
Harrison Burdge got the loss after surrendering five runs on two hits and one walk without retiring a batter.
Jake Trabbie drew a pair of walks, tripled, scored and drove in three runs.
