California Outlaws Pound Out 7-3 Victory Over Ventura County Bucs in Tuesday’s Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League Game

The California Outlaws dominated the Ventura County Bucs on Tuesday.

The Outlaws, who sit in second place in the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League, defeated the Bucs, 7-3, at Ben Hines Field in La Verne.

They out-hit the Bucs 14-4, and the Outlaws had a 6-1 advantage in extra-base hits.

Nine of the 10 Outlaws that got at least one official at-bat had one hit or more.

Of the 14 VCB batters on Tuesday, only three has a base hit.

Colby Bette got the loss after going 6 1/3 innings and allowing seven runs on 10 hits.

Bette issued a pair of walks, and he struck out three Outlaws.

Vito Fowler went 3-for-5 with a double, three runs and one RBI.

Seth Reker singled, doubled and drove in three runs.

Marcus Moyer tripled and scored.

Jason Del Villar went 2-for-4 with a walk, double, two runs and an RBI.

Michael McQueen singled, doubled and scored.

Logan Corthell walked, singled and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Austin Easter singled in a run.

Jared Benash and Clay Porter had one single apiece for the Outlaws.

Connor Luetto was credited with the win after going 3 1/3 innings and allowing one run on one hit.

Luetto walked two and struck out five.

Luke Viola went two perfect innings in relief.

Nick Sanchez was charged with two unearned runs on two hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Sanchez issued a pair of walks and fanned two Bucs.

Carson Chavez went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Hudson Story walked, doubled and scored.

Jarrett Segura drew a pair of walks, was hit-by-pitch and had one RBI.

Moses Hyde singled and drove in a run.

Carter Bennett walked and scored.

Up next: Both programs will be in action on Wednesday.

The Outlaws face the Arroyo Seco Sentinels at 4 at Ben Hines Field in La Verne.

And the Bucs have a doubleheader with the Orange County Juice at Biola.

Game one is set to start at 1.
