Baseball:
The Arroyo Seco Royals picked up their second win of the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League against the Ventura County Bucs on Sunday.
The Royals cruised to an 8-2 victory at Brookside Park in Pasadena.
Wyatt Zadoorian earned the win by going five innings and allowing an unearned run on three hits.
Zadoorian issued a pair of walks, and he struck out four.
Simon Hoffman went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Hudson Story walked, singled twice, scored and drove in one.
Eddie Perez drew a walk and had a pair of singles.
Ryker Billingsley walked and singled and Will Matuszak singled once in Sunday’s loss.
Aidan Phipps went four innings for the Bucs, and he was charged with five runs (two earned) on six hits.
Phipps walked three and fanned three Royals’ batters.
AJ Anzai went 2-for-4 with a double, and he scored one run.
Isaiah Figueroa walked, doubled, scored and drove in two runs.
Aden Leaureano, Keedan Nadeau and Brandon Gill doubled and scored one run apiece.
Alejandro Ducreux singled and scored.
Nick Cook walked and doubled, and Joaquin Salcedo walked and scored.
Patrick Fregoso drew three walks and scored.
Nate Slaman had an RBI single, and Josiah Figueroa drove in one run.
The Royals stole eight bases in Sunday’s win.
Up next: The Bucs face the California Outlaws on Tuesday at 4:15 at LA Valley College.
The Royals take on the SGV Monarchs on Wednesday at 1 at Ben Hines Field in La Verne.
