The California Outlaws survived a slugfest, 10-6, over the Arroyo Seco Sentinels in Thursday night’s Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League game at Brookside Park.
The Outlaws barely out-hit the Sentinels (13-11), but they took advantage of five errors that cost Arroyo Seco six runs.
Joe Bacon went two innings, and he allowed four runs (one earned) on three hits.
Bacon walked three and fanned three.
AJ Beltre was charged with three runs (two earned) on three hits over two innings.
Beltre issued two free passes and struck out three.
Teige Barrett went 3-for-4 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Marcus Moyer singled, doubled, scored twice and drove in one.
Seth Reker singled twice and scored.
Jason Del Villar singled and scored.
Diego Frey went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Ian Wolski walked and doubled.
Vito Fowler drew a pair of walks and scored two runs.
Kadyn Victorian went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
Andres Zarate was credited with the win, going two innings and surrendering two runs on four hits.
Zarate didn’t issue a walk and struck out three Sentinels.
Will Allen went 3-for-4, including a three-run HR.
Eli Biehl and Cam Andrews singled, doubled and scored one run each.
Bryan Richman and Josh Phillips both singled and had one RBI.
Doug Pyle went 2-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.
Evan Nahra drew two walks and scored a pair of runs.
Up next: The Sentinels will battle the Royals on Saturday morning at 11 at Brookside Park.
The Outlaws travel to Ben Hines Field in La Verne on Saturday at 2 to take on the Orange County Juice.
