The Ventura County Bucs stayed unbeaten in the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League with Sunday’s 4-3 victory over the California Outlaws at LA Valley College.
The Bucs (3-0) got two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the sixth.
Connor Luetto got the loss after allowing two runs on a walk and hit batter.
Ethan Dungo walked twice, hit a two-run HR in the second inning and scored two runs.
Will Matuszak singled, doubled and was hit by pitch.
Nicholas Mattera singled and doubled.
Chase Aurand singled and scored.
Jarrett Segura drew a pair of walks and scored.
Hunter Zanki went five innings for the Bucs, and he was charged with two runs on three hits.
Zanki issued a pair of walks and struck out four.
Dylan Nolan Cook went a scoreless sixth inning and he was credited with the win.
Jacob Gudino earned a three-inning save.
He surrendered one run on two hits.
Gudino walked two and struck out two Outlaws’ batters.
Seth Reker singed in the first inning, and he scored on a Jason Del Villar double.
Matt Diaz walked and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Luke Viola singled in the ninth inning, and he scored on a sac fly by Lance Armijo.
Michael McQueen singled, was hit by pitch and scored.
Up next: The Bucs travel to Biola on Thursday at 4:30 to battle the OC Juice.
The Outlaws will face the Arroyo Seco Royal on Wednesday at 4 at the Glendale Sports Complex.
