Baseball:
The Arroyo Seco Sentinels finished out week one of the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League 3-0.
And that was thanks to Sunday’s 12-4 beatdown over the San Gabriel Valley Monarchs at Brookside Park in Pasadena.
Jacob Fox was charged with the loss after allowing two runs on two hits over two innings.
Fox walked three and fanned a pair of Sentinels.
Devon Eskridge had a huge day, going 4-for-5 with a triple, two doubles, a run and three RBIs.
Cider Canon walked, hit a three-run HR, scored three times and drove in four.
Omar Cisneros went 2-for-5 and scored a pair of runs.
Grant Werdesheim walked, singled and scored two runs.
Will Allen drew a pair of walks, doubled in a run and scored.
Nate Longoria walked and scored twice.
Mark Manuel singled and scored.
Rocco Regan was hit by pitch and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Beau Stubbs drew a pair of walks and singled.
Spencer Kratt was credited with the win.
Kratt went two innings, and he allowed one run on one hit.
He walked four and struck out a pair of Monarchs.
Ben Griffith provided two scoreless innings in relief, and he struck out one.
Adrian Roman went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs and an RBI.
Ivan Barragan drew a pair of walks, singled and scored.
Jake Trabbie walked, singled twice and scored.
Benny Vogel went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.
Up next: The Monarchs face the OC Juice at Biola on Wednesday at 4:30.
The Sentinels head to LA Valley College on Tuesday to battle the Ventura County Pirates at 6.
