Arroyo Seco Sentinels Jumped on OC Juice Early & Cruised to a 9-3 Victory in Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League Opener

The Arroyo Seco Sentinels opened up Baseball Census Collegiate Summer Baseball League play with a convincing 9-3 victory over the Orange County Juice at the Glendale Sports Complex.

Arroyo Seco out-hit OCJ, 9-3, and they survived five errors.

Ryan Graves got the win after going three innings and allowing one run on three hits.

Jaden St. Cyr drove in a run on a sac fly.

Graves issued one walk and fanned one Orange County batter.

Daniel Ramirez, Joe Bacon and Connor Campbell each provided two scoreless innings of relief.

And they combined to strike out seven batters.

Kyle Lewis went 2-for-4 with an RBI for OCJ.

Jordan Sheridan walked and scored.

Geovanny Hernandez got roughed up for seven runs on eight hits over the first two innings.

He didn’t issue a walk and struck out a pair of Sentinels’ batters.

Bryan Richman went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Josh Phillips hit a three-run HR.

Omar Cisneros walked, singled, doubled, scored and drove in one.

Doug Pyle went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.

Devon Eskridge walked and scored.

Evan Nahra and Tommy Goldbranson had one hit and one RBI apiece.

Grant Werdesheim singled, scored a pair of runs and had one RBI.

Up next: The Juice travel to LA Valley College today (Friday) at 4:30 to battle the Ventura County Bucs.

The Sentinels and Juice will meet up again on Saturday morning at Brookside Park at 11.
