College Baseball:
PCC is ending the 2024 regular season portion of their schedule with some momentum.
After two consecutive wins over Cerritos and a slugfest victory at Chaffey, the Lancers traveled to San Bernardino Valley College on Wednesday.
Jameson Ferraro and Ben Griffith combined to hold the Coyotes bats mostly silent throughout PCC’s 3-1 victory.
Ferraro went six innings to earn the win, and he allowed one run on five hits.
He walked five and struck out four SBVC batters.
Griffith provided three scoreless innings in relief to earn the save.
He allowed two hits, didn’t issue a walk and fanned three.
Andrew Griffin singled and scored.
Grant Davari had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to account for the Coyotes run.
Noe Delgado was charged with the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Delgado walked six and struck out a trio of PCC batters.
Jack Esguerra’s RBI double in the top of the first gave the Lancers a 1-0 lead.
Esguerra also drew a pair of walks.
Bryan Richman went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run double in the sixth to give PCC a 3-0 lead.
Thomas Villanueva singled and doubled.
Ivan Barragan singled and scored.
Devin Munoz walked, doubled and scored.
Evan Nahra didn’t get a hit, but he was walked three times.
Adrian Roman singled and Mark Manuel drew a pair of walks.
Up next: The Lancers travel to Palomar on Saturday in the final game of the regular season.
