Maranatha opened a busy final week of the 2024 regular season with a 7-1 nonleague victory over West Ranch.

Zach Strickland went six innings, and he was charged with an unearned run on three hits.

Strickland issued one walk and struck out nine West Ranch batters.

Baron Lutz provided a scoreless and hitless seventh inning of relief, and he struck out one.

Landon Hu singled and scored.

Ty Diaz and Jake Vojtech had one single apiece for the Wildcats.

Aidan Buntich was charged with five runs (four earned) on six hits over the first inning to get the loss.

Thomas Lieb went 2-for-4, with a double and two runs.

AJ Beltre singled, doubled and scored.

Strickland went 2-for-3, with a walk and two RBIs.

Eric Zdunek doubled and scored.

Jacob Yun singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.

Gabe Barragan had an RBI single and scored, and Lukus Perez singled in a run.

Josh Proctor drew a pair of walks and had an RBI ground out.

Up next: The Olympic League champions will host Village Christian (15-5-1) Tuesday night at Brookside Park.
