St. Francis avoided a three-game Mission League sweep on Friday.
But they had to work overtime to accomplish that feat.
The Golden Knights edged Crespi, 4-3, in nine innings.
Diego Velasquez got the loss after allowing one run on two hits over two innings.
Velasquez walked one and fanned three St. Francis batters.
Jordan Viramontes went 3-for-4, with two doubles and three RBIs.
Viramontes’ RBI double in the top of the ninth inning ended up being the game winner.
Holden Deitch hit a solo HR.
Brody Ruyle doubled and scored.
Dane Shepard walked, singled and scored a pair of runs.
Kalani Quiroz went 3 2/3 innings and he allowed three runs on five hits.
Quiroz issued four walks and struck out one.
Lucas Favretto earned the win after going 5 1/3 scoreless innings.
Favretto allowed three hits, walked one and fanned one Crespi batter.
Sean Sapp hit a solo HR.
Diego Velasquez drew a pair of walks, doubled and scored.
Jeremiah Jones walked and scored.
