Reese Kim Goes 5 2/3, Allows Unearned Run & Strikes Out Eight in Pasadena’s 4-2 Victory at Hoover; PHS Completes Two-Game Pacific League Sweep of Tornados

Pasadena earned its first two-game Pacific League sweep of the 2024 season.

After a 2-0 victory on Tuesday, the Bulldogs defeated the Tornados, 4-2, on Wednesday.

Adrian Oseguera went the first 1 1/3 innings, and he allowed one run on two hits.

Reese Kim did the heavy lifting, going 5 2/3 and he surrendered just an unearned run on one hit.

Kim didn’t issue a walk and he struck out eight Hoover batters.

Isaiah Alvarado tripled and scored both HHS runs.

Daniel Cano had an RBI double.

Kieran Sinta went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Alex Weimar and Gabriel Flores singled once each for Hoover.

Julian Corral got the loss after allowing four unearned runs on two hits over six innings.

Corral walked four and struck out 11 PHS batters.

Riley Andrade walked, doubled and scored.

Oseguera went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.

Kaleb Derosier walked, had an RBI ground out and scored.

Fabio Castillo had an RBI, and Jayden Mendoza singled.

Ian Van Zyl was hit by pitch and scored.

Up next: The Bulldogs will host Village Christian today (Thursday) at 3:45.
