Los Osos Jumps Out Early & Cruises to a 12-2 Baseline League Victory Over Etiwanda; LOHS Leads Damien by One-Half Game w/Four to Play

Los Osos kept its half-game lead over Damien atop the Baseline League standings on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning, and they cruised to a 12-2 victory over Etiwanda.

In the first two games of this three-game series, LOHS has outscored EHS, 28-3.

Michael Aleman was charged with the loss after allowing five runs on three hits and two walks over two innings.

Of their four first-inning runs, the Grizzlies scored twice on bases-loaded walks, and they got two more on batters that were hit by pitch with the bases juiced.

Mason Overacker went 2-for-3, with a walk, two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Reagan Samples walked, singled and drove in a pair.

Wyatt Mohler walked, singled and scored two runs.

Hunter Meyer walked and scored a pair of runs.

Austin Ziello singled, scored and drove in three runs.

Josh Chairez singled and scored.

Roberto Topete walked, was hit by pitch, had one RBI and scored three times.

John Flores singled, scored and had one RBI.

Gavin Loeb-Keene earned the win after going five innings and allowing two runs on five hits.

The LOHS sophomore didn’t issue a walk and he struck out seven.

Blake Torres went 3-for-3, including an RBI triple and he scored one run.

Chris Montes de Oca doubled and scored.

Ryan Severns singled and scored.

Jaeden Toki had an RBI ground out.

Luke Mendoza and Angel Mejia singled once each for the Eagles.
