Miguel Castillo Goes Distance, Allowing Unearned Run & Two Hits in Muir’s 3-1 Pacific League Victory at Glendale

Baseball:

Muir secured Pacific League win No. 3 on Tuesday.

The Mustangs rode the arm of Miguel Castillo to a 3-1 victory at Glendale.

Castillo went the distance and allowed one unearned run on two hits.

Castillo walked two and struck out one GHS batter.

Sheantell Cruz singled and scored.

Jason Martinez singled to account for the other Glendale base hit.

Martinez also got the loss after allowing three runs on three hits over three innings.

He issued four walks and struck out one Muir batter.

Ace Baker provided four scoreless innings of relief for Glendale.

Baker allowed four hits, walked two and fanned three MHS batters.

Vincent Bugarin walked, singled, doubled and scored.

Max Huizar walked, singled twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Bryant Soriano went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Conrad Hunziker IV singled and scored.

Fletcher Paddock nailed two Glendale runners trying to steal third base, including one that ended the game.

Up next: The Mustangs will host the Nitros on Friday at 3:45.
