Kaleb Derosier put Pasadena on his back in Tuesday’s 2-0 Pacific League victory over Hoover.
Derosier tossed a two-hit shutout, walked one and struck out nine HHS batters.
Derosier struck out seven separate Tornados at least once, and he got Alex Weimar three times.
At the plate, Derosier had a sac fly in the bottom of the sixth inning to extend the PHS advantage to 2-0.
Jordan Mahler went three innings, and he allowed one run on three hits.
Mahler didn’t issue a walk and fanned a pair of PHS batters.
Jesse Carbonneau was charged with an unearned run on no hits and one walk over his three innings.
Adrian Oseguera had one of PHS’ two hits, and he drove in one run.
Fabio Castillo singled and scored.
Ian Van Zyl was hit-by-pitch, reached on an error, and he scored once for the Bulldogs.
