Boys Tennis:
Claremont is one step closer to a potential outright Palomares League championship.
On Tuesday, the Wolfpack secured a dominating 16-2 victory over Bonita.
The CHS singles and doubles teams both went 8-1 in their nine matches.
Caleb Settles, the No. 1 singles player for Claremont, went 3-0 by scores of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0.
Mateen Ghafarshad also secured three wins, two by scores of 6-0, and one of 6-1.
Josh Bonner and Liad Geldwert, the Wolfpack’s No. 1 doubles team, cruised to set wins of 6-2, 6-1 and 6-0.
Caleb Fong and Henry Chang won both of their matches (6-1 & 6-0) at No. 2 doubles.
Up next: Claremont travels to Ayala on Thursday afternoon in the Palomares League finale.
With a win, the Wolfpack would secure an outright and undefeated Palomares League championship.
The Bulldogs could earn a share of the league title with a win over CHS.
