If the first five games are any indication, San Dimas appears to be in cruise control and headed towards yet another Valle Vista League championship.
On Wednesday, SDHS hammered West Covina, 13-1, in five innings.
The Saints are now 5-0 in VVL games, and they’ve outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 52-6.
Jude Favela went all five to earn the win.
Favela allowed one run on four hits.
He issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.
Edwin Segovia doubled and scored.
Jacob Nguyen singled and drove in a run.
Austyn Catano and Michael Gutierrez had one single apiece for WCHS.
Vincent Marichi was stuck with the loss after allowing seven runs (six earned) on five hits over his two innings.
Marichi walked four and struck out one.
