Bacon Goes 8 2/3 Innings & Strikes Out Three in PCC’s 8-4 SCC Victory Over ELAC; Roman & Villanueva Combine for Five RBIs

College Baseball:

Pasadena City College was able to salvage game three of its South Coast Conference series with East Los Angeles College.

After 11-10 and 4-1 losses on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, PCC claimed an 8-4 victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Lancers out-hit the Huskies, 11-6, and they improved to 9-9 in conference games.

Joe Bacon went 8 2/3 innings to earn the win.

Bacon allowed four runs on six hits.

He walked three and fanned three ELAC batters.

Jarred Robles doubled and scored.

Amaris Harrison singled and scored.

Evan Chavez drew a pair of walks and scored.

Manny Ramirez singled, scored and had one RBI.

Matt McIntire had an RBI single, and Chris Guardado drove in a run on a sac fly.

Lino Zepeda got the loss after allowing seven runs (five earned) on seven hits over his three innings.

Just like Bacon, Zepeda issued three walks and struck out three.

Jack Esguerra went 3-for-4, including a double and three runs.

Adrian Roman had an RBI ground out, RBI single and an RBI triple.

Thomas Villanueva drew two walks, and he had a pair of RBI singles.

Bryan Richman walked, scored and drove in a run on a sac fly.

Trevor Scott singled and scored.

Ryan Ivanyi went 2-for-4 and scored one run.

Tyler Garcia singled, scored and drove in a run on a third-inning sac fly.
