Baseball:
Los Osos completed its second consecutive three-game Baseline League sweep.
One week after opening Baseline League play with a sweep of RCHS, the Grizzlies did the same to Upland.
LOHS cruised to a 10-1 victory at Memorial Park, and they scored twice in the first, third and fourth innings, while plating four runs in the top of the second.
Gavin Loeb-Keene earned the win after going three innings and allowing one run on two hits.
He didn’t issue a walk and fanned one UHS batter.
Josh Angely doubled and scored on a Jake Mensen ground out.
Isaac Carlos, Dom Nava, Ryan Marquez and Mensen singled for the Highlanders.
Carlos was saddled with the loss after going five innings and allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits.
Carlos walked two and struck out one.
Joaquin Covarrubias was charged with six runs (four earned) on three hits and two walks over one inning.
Hunter Meyer went 2-for-3, with a walk, single, double, run and one RBI.
Jake Monsen singled twice and scored.
Josh Chairez went 3-for-5, with two runs and three RBIs.
Mason Overacker drew a pair of walks, singled, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.
Roberto Topete scored, and he drove in a run on a ground out.
Jeremiah Jacobo had an RBI ground out.
Justin Yeutter singled, scored and had one RBI.
Andrew Cromwell singled and Daniel Lopez scored one run.
Wyatt Mohler walked and scored.
Up next: The Grizzlies and Highlanders will both be in action on Monday in the first of three-game Baseline League series.
