South Hills Pours it on Late in Thursday’s 13-3 Hacienda League Victory at Los Altos; Moreno, Jimenez & Malone Spark Huskies Offense

South Hills improved to 4-0 in Hacienda League games thanks to Thursday’s 13-3 victory at Los Altos.

The Huskies led 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning, but they scored six runs in the sixth, and got four more in the seventh to pull away.

Six South Hills pitchers combined on the win and struck out five.

Christian Santoyo went three innings and allowed one run on three hits.

Santoyo didn’t issue a walk and fanned a pair of LAHS batters.

Mikey Arroyo went 2-for-4, with an RBI.

Issac Galindo walked and had an RBI double.

Christopher Barrientos singled and scored.

Sebastian Castillo singled twice for the Conquerors.

Manuel Tinajero got the loss after going five innings and allowing five runs on six hits and two walks.

Matt Moreno walked, hit a two-run HR, had an RBI double and scored three runs.

Steven Jimenez was hit by pitch, had three doubles, two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Noah Malone singled, hit a solo HR and scored twice.

Diego Villarreal singled, had one RBI and scored two runs.

Paul Vazquez was hit by pitch and scored.

Up next: SHHS will battle Aquinas on Tuesday morning at 9 in the Boras Classic.
