Los Osos Earns Three-Game Baseline League Sweep w/Tuesday’s 4-2 Victory Over Rancho Cucamonga; Daniel Lopez Went 2-for-3 w/Three RBIs

Los Osos secured its first three-game Baseline League sweep since 2021.

The Grizzlies claimed 4-2 (last Friday), 6-1 (Monday) and 4-2 victories (Tuesday) over Rancho Cucamonga.

Gavin Loeb-Keene went 4 1/3 scoreless innings and allowed one hit.

He walked five and fanned three RCHS batters.

Conor Donlin came in with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth inning, and he was able to coax a couple of ground outs to keep the game scoreless.

Donlin went 1 1/3 innings and he was charged with two runs on one hit.

Joshua Chung got four outs, including his ability to get LOHS out of a sixth-inning jam.

And Wyatt Mohler earned his second save in the series by going a 1-2-3 seventh inning.

Mohler also made a big defensive play in the fifth inning, as he knocked a ball down with his chest and got the lead runner at home.

After Jared Sclafani was hit by pitch in the top of the sixth inning, Jose Gomez doubled him home to pull RCHS to within 3-1 of Los Osos.

Brock Foulds followed with an RBI single.

Mason Pheng and Derek Almeda drew two walks apiece.

Peyton singled once for Rancho Cucamonga.

Preston Anderson was saddled with the loss after surrendering four runs on three hits and one walk over 1 1/3 innings.

Jacob Peyton went 2 2/3 scoreless innings for RCHS.

Peyton allowed three hits, didn’t issue a walk and fanned one LOHS batter.

Justin Stansbury was charged with one unearned run on two hits and one walk over two innings.

Daniel Lopez went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including a two-run single in the bottom of the fourth to give LOHS a 3-0 lead.

Hunter Meyer walked, doubled and scored.

Jeremiah Jacobo walked, singled, doubled and scored.

Mohler singled twice and Jake Monsen went 1-for-3.

Reagan Samples singled and scored.

Mason Overacker’s RBI ground out in the bottom of the sixth gave the Grizzlies a 4-2 lead.

Up next: The Cougars travel to Roosevelt on Friday at 4.

The Grizzlies visit Upland for the first of a three-game set on Monday at 3:15.
