Baseball:
Los Osos has now claimed victories in the first two of their three-game Baseline League series with Rancho Cucamonga.
The Grizzlies defeated the Cougars, 6-1, at RCHS.
Reagan Samples went 6 2/3 innings to earn the win.
Samples scattered six hits, walked one and he fanned six RCHS batters.
Joshua Chung struck out Brock Foulds with runners on first and third to end the game.
Jose Gomez singled and doubled, and Foulds had a pair of singles.
Jacob Peyton walked and scored.
Mason Pheng and Josh Almeda both singled.
Foulds was charged with two runs on six hits over five innings.
He walked one and struck out four.
Diego Brooks went 1 1/3 innings and he surrendered two runs on three hits.
Brooks issued one walk and fanned a pair of LOHS batters.
The Grizzlies got to Kyle Thomas for two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks in just 2/3 of an inning.
Roberto Topete went 3-for-5 with a game-high four RBIs.
Wyatt Mohler singled twice, doubled, scored and drove in one run.
Jeremiah Jacobo went 3-for-4, including a double and two runs.
Daniel Lopez walked, singled twice, scored a pair of runs and had one RBI.
Jake Monsen drew a pair of walks and scored one run.
Up next: The Grizzlies will go for the three-game sweep, as they host the Cougars this morning (Tuesday) at 11.
