Aaron Jacobsen Goes Six Scoreless Innings in Glendora’s 7-0 Baseline League Victory at Claremont; Tartans Snapped Six-Game Losing Streak

Baseball:

To say the Glendora baseball program has gotten off to a slow start in 2024 would be quite an understatement.

As they drove to Claremont on Wednesday afternoon, the Tartans had lost six consecutive games, and eight of their last nine.

And that includes a three-game sweep at the hands of Ayala, and a 5-4 loss to the Wolfpack on Monday.

Aaron Jacobsen, however, would put GHS on his back in a 7-0 victory at Claremont.

Jacobsen went six scoreless innings and allowed six hits.

He issued two walks and struck out one.

Jordan Garrison provided one scoreless inning of relief, and two of his three outs came via strikeout.

Luke Porras and Reed Miller had two hits apiece for CHS.

David Alcaraz and Cory Smykla had one walk and one single apiece in the loss.

Ramzey Farah was roughed up for six runs on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings.

Farah didn’t issue a walk and fanned one GHS batter.

Tyler Obert singled twice and scored.

Mason Danison singled, had an RBI ground out, and he drove in another run on a sac fly.

Troy Estrada went 2-for-3, with two runs and an RBI.

Caleb Nguyen walked, singled and scored twice.

Jacobsen helped his own cause with two hits, and he scored a pair of runs.

Aidan Yamazaki had an RBI ground out, and Matthew Martinez singled.

Garrett Dykstra was hit by pitch twice with the bases loaded.
