Baseball:
Rancho Cucamonga scored twice in the top of the second and sixth innings to claim a 6-3 victory at Etiwanda.
The Cougars are now 2-0 against the two-time defending Baseline League champs, and they’ll host the Eagles on Wednesday in the hopes of closing out a three-game sweep.
Brock Foulds had another solid outing.
Foulds went six innings and allowed two runs on six hits.
The RCHS junior walked three and struck out 10 EHS batters.
Jacob Peyton got the final three outs, and he allowed an unearned run on one hit.
Chris Montes de Oca went 3-for-4, including a double and two runs.
Blake Torres had an RBI triple.
Luke Mendoza walked, singled and scored.
Jaeden Toki singled and drove in a run.
RCHS got to Christian Eaton and AJ Montalvo for three runs each.
Eaton went 1 2/3 innings, allowing two hits, walking four and he struck out two Cougars.
Montalvo surrendered four hits, walked two and struck out one in 3 2/3 innings.
Leading 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning, Josh Almeda hit a three-run HR to all but put the game on ice.
Jacob Peyton drew a pair of walks, singled and drove in a run.
Braden Longo doubled and scored.
Aiden Bravo went 3-for-3 with a walk and one RBI.
Jared Sclafani singled and scored a pair of runs.
Dustin Vela singled, scored and had one RBI.
