Damien opened Baseline League play with an impressive 7-1 victory at Chino Hills.
The Spartans out-hit the Huskies, 9-3, on Monday.
Andrew Carter went 3 2/3 scoreless innings and allowed one hit.
Carter walked one and fanned three CHHS batters.
Rudy O’Dell provided three innings and he surrendered an unearned run on two hits.
O’Dell issued a pair of walks and struck out two.
Frankie Brazil singled and scored.
Andrew Baldomino walked and had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.
Brody Buoncristiani singled to account for the other Chino Hills base hit.
Alexis Medina got the loss after going four innings and allowing three runs on three hits and three walks.
Julian Hines went 2-for-3, with a double and three RBIs.
Gino Tarzia had an RBI double.
Jordan Young walked, doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Nikko Paoletto walked twice, singled, scored and had one RBI.
Elius Kelly singled, hit a solo HR and scored two runs.
Ty Tancredi walked and had two singles.
Jaden Kidder singled and scored.
