Rancho Cucamonga opened Baseline League play with a 6-3 victory over Etiwanda.
The Cougars trailed 3-2 as they grabbed their bats in the bottom half of the sixth inning.
But RCHS would score four times in the sixth to claim Baseline League victory No. 1 of the 2024 season.
Isaac Gonzales went five innings, and he allowed one run on one hit.
Gonzales walked three and fanned five EHS batters.
Justin Stansbury got the final five outs for RCHS.
LJ Roellig doubled and scored.
Chris Montes de Oca drew a pair of walks, singled and scored.
Jaeden Toki walked, scored and had an RBI.
Jacob Arreguin drove in a run on a sac fly.
Luke Mendoza singled and drove in a run.
Michael Aleman went four innings for the Eagles, and he allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits.
Aleman issued one walk and struck out one RCHS batter.
Andrew Weber was touched up for four runs (three earned) on three hits over 1 1/3 innings.
Weber walked three and struck out one.
Jacob Peyton went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and two RBIs.
Derek Almeda walked, doubled and scored.
Josh Almeda had two singles and an RBI.
Braden Longo walked, singled and scored.
Aiden Bravo singled and scored.
