Jameson Ferraro Goes Eight Strong Innings, Allowing Three Runs & Striking Out Five in PCC’s 16-4 South Coast Conference Victory Over El Camino

College Baseball:

Two days after giving up three runs in the bottom of the ninth in a 5-4 loss at El Camino College, the PCC baseball program bounced back in a big way.

The Lancers crushed the Warriors, 16-4, and they improved their South Coast Conference record to 5-5.

Jameson Ferraro had another solid outing for PCC.

Ferraro went eight innings and allowed three runs on nine hits to earn the win.

He walked one and struck out five.

Mason Martinez went 3-for-4, with a double, run and one RBI.

Lucas Bonham singled twice and drove in a run.

Angel Gonzalez had a pair of singles and scored one run.

Christian Miranda singled and scored.

Jake Stolnack was stuck with the loss.

Stolnack allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 10 hits over four innings.

He walked four and struck out three PCC batters.

PCC pounded out 18 hits off five El Camino pitchers.

The first four batters in the Lancers lineup went a combined 11-for-19, with five runs and 10 RBIs.

Oddly, none of the 18 hits were of the extra-base variety.

Thomas Villaneuva went 3-for-5, with two runs and four RBIs.

Mark Manuel walked, singled three times, scored and finished with three RBIs.

Adrian Roman went 3-for-5, with a pair of runs and RBIs.

Ivan Barragan drew a pair of walks, singled twice and drove in one.

Jack Esguerra walked, singled twice, scored a pair of runs and had two RBIs.

Trevor Scott walked three times, had three singles, scored three runs and drove in one.

Jaden Guzman walked twice, singled, scored two runs and had one RBI.

Tyler Garcia walked, had one RBI and scored two runs.

Evan Coad drew a pair of walks, singled, scored two runs and had one RBI.

Up next: The Lancers hope to earn a third consecutive SCC series with a win at El Camino on Saturday.

The first pitch is set for noon.
