PCC Earned Three-Game SCC Sweep of LA Harbor After Saturday’s 8-4 Victory; Lancers Have Won Five Consecutive Games

In a span of two weeks, the Pasadena City College baseball program has gone from ninth (last) to fourth place in the South Coast Conference standings.

The Lancers have won five consecutive games, including Saturday’s 8-4 victory over LA Harbor to secure a three-game SCC sweep.

Joe Bacon went 6 1/3 innings to earn the win.

Bacon allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits.

He walked three and fanned four.

Connor Campbell closed out the win with 2 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings in relief.

Campbell didn’t issue a walk and struck out five.

MJ Norquist walked, singled, doubled and scored.

Andrew Ravelo singled, scored twice and drove in a run.

Christian Johnson walked and had a two-run double.

Lucas Hernandez singled and scored.

Kaleb Nakano got the loss after allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits over three innings.

Nakano walked three and struck out one.

PCC got to Sam Funk for three runs on four hits over four innings.

Funk issued one walk and fanned two.

Thomas Villanueva went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Tyler Garcia walked and hit a two-run HR.

Jack Esguerra doubled and scored two runs.

Evan Coad went 2-for-3, with a walk, run and one RBI.

Jaden Guzman walked twice and scored.

Bryan Richman singled, scored and had one RBI.

Evan Nahra drove in a run on a sac fly.

Up next: The Lancers travel to El Camino on Tuesday at 2.
