PCC Bats Come to Life Late in Tuesday’s 6-3 South Coast Conference Victory Over LA Harbor; Lancers Have Won Three Straight Games

College Baseball:

After beginning South Coast Conference play at 0-4, PCC has won three consecutive games.

The Lancers got two runs in the bottom of the seventh, and four more in the eighth inning to defeat LA Harbor, 6-3, on Tuesday.

Ernesto Dunas went six innings and allowed two runs on six hits.

Duenas walked a pair of batters, and he fanned five.

Connor Campbell was credited with the win after going 2 1/3 innings, and he allowed one run on four hits.

Campbell walked two and struck out a pair of LA Harbor batters.

Ben Griffith earned the save after a scoreless ninth inning.

Andrew Ravelo went 2-for-3 with two walks and a pair of RBIs.

Ryan Lopetegui went 3-for-5.

Cameron Uszler and Ethan Kang singled and scored.

Jacob Reffner walked and had an RBI single.

Andrew Clavel singled twice and scored.

LA Harbor’s Brett Moody went 6 1/3 innings and he allowed just one run on six hits and four strikeouts.

Andrew Favelo was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs (one earned) on five hits and one walk over 2/3 of an inning.

Thomas Villaneuva doubled, tripled and scored two runs.

Evan Nahra tripled and scored.

Bryan Richman went 2-for-4, scored twice and had one RBI.

Mark Manuel walked, singled twice and drove in a run.

Adrian Roman singled three times and had one RBI.

Ryan Ivanyi had an RBI single, an RBI ground out, and he scored one run.

Jack Esguerra’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth got the Lancers even at 3-3.

Ivanyi, Richman and Roman would follow Esguerra’s lead and had RBI singles of their own in the eighth.

Ivanyi’s base hit gave PCC their first lead of the game at 4-3.

Up next: The Lancers travel to LA Harbor on Thursday.
