Kaden Moeller’s 3-Run HR in Top of First Inning Helps Lead Mt. SAC to a 4-2 Victory at Santa Barbara; Mounties Improved to 6-2

College Baseball:

Mt. SAC scored three runs in the top of the first inning, and four Mounties pitchers made that stand up in a 4-2 victory at Santa Barbara.

Alejandro Morales went the first three innings for MSAC, and he allowed one run on two hits.

Morales walked four and fanned three Vaqueros batters.

Justin Cardenas provided three innings, and he surrendered one run on three hits.

Cardenas walked and struck out one batter apiece.

Micael Grant went 2/3 innings without any damage, and Kaden Mackowiak earned the save after getting the final five outs.

Parker Helleckson went 2-for-5 with a double and one run scored.

Sebastian Arguelles walked twice and scored.

Ethan Rodriguez went 2-for-3 which included a walk, and an RBI base hit in the bottom of the sixth.

Halen Jaden Guerrero was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) on one hit.

Guerrero walked one and fanned a pair of Mounties.

Jordan Rico went five scoreless for the Vaqueros.

Shane McMahon surrendered one run on two hits and a walk over his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Looking back, Kaden Moeller put the game away in the top of the first inning.

Moeller went 3-for-4 with a walk, and a three-run HR.

Bryan Bradshaw walked, singled and scored.

Brady France went 2-for-4, while Joel Quemada and Andrew Ramirez had one single apiece in the win.

Andrew Walters scored half of the Mounties four runs.

Up next: Mt. SAC will host Fullerton on Thursday at 1.
