Xavier Clinton began his final postseason at Damien in style.
After a first-round bye, the Spartans cruised to a 68-50 over Crossroads in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
The Spartans senior made more 3-pointers (6) than the entire Roadrunners team (4).
Clinton scored a game-high 24 points.
And he made some history as well.
The Damien guard became the 20th member of the talent-rich program to surpass 1,000 career points.
Up next: The Spartans will host St. Bernard on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round.
The Vikings (15-11) edged La Mirada, 72-71, on Friday.
