Softball:
The 16-team Bonita Softball Tournament opens play on Saturday morning, and it runs through February the 17th.
The 2024 field is pretty stacked.
Along with 14 local programs, Capistrano Valley (27-7 last year) and Mater Dei (13-15-1) will compete at the week-long event.
Three competitors from the Palomares League (Bonita, Glendora & Alta Loma) are among those who open their 2024 season in La Verne.
Northview and South Hills meet up in the first round, as do Mater Dei and Glendora.
Starting Monday, the final six days of the tournament will be played at Wheeler Field.

Northview vs South Hills (8 am, North Field)
Bonita vs Monrovia (8 am, South Field)
South El Monte vs La Canada (10:15, North Field)
Arcadia vs Capistrano Valley (10:15, South Field)

Los Altos vs Bishop Amat (12:30, North Field)
San Dimas vs Crescenta Valley (2:45, North Field)
