Girls Basketball:
Marshall Fundamental will take a five-game win streak into next week’s playoffs.
The Eagles cruised to a 59-25 victory at Mountain View in the Mission Valley League finale.
Marshall finished in second place, and two games back of Gabrielino (12-0).
The Eagles used a 35-7 run in the second half to pull away.
Desiny Ihiaso’s 24 points was just one shy of matching the Mountain View total.
Madelynn Degooyer chipped in with 11 points.
Darlene Murrillo led the Vikings with 10 points, and Ashley Erasi had nine.
Up next: The Lady Eagles get their playoff opponent this Sunday afternoon at 12:30.
