Girls Basketball:
Marshall Fundamental looks to have secured the No. 2 seed out of the Mission Valley League.
The Eagles cruised to a 54-12 victory at El Monte and improved to 9-2 in MVL games.
With one game remaining, they lead third-place Rosemead by two games.
Camille Rodriguez led Marshall with 18 points.
Elizabeth Ekpo added 12, while Jolynn Abilar and Destiny Ihiaso chipped in six points apiece.
Brenda Salazar scored half of El Monte’s 12 points to lead the Lions.
Up next: The Eagles close out the regular season at Mountain View on Friday.
