Boys Basketball:
Pasadena had to wait 26 long days before they got another shot at Arcadia.
The Apaches edged the Bulldogs, 56-52, back on January the 4th at AHS.
It was Pasadena’s lone loss in Pacific League play.
And Arcadia entered Tuesday’s showdown at PHS with an 11-1 record of their own, falling at Crescenta Valley just over two weeks ago.
Other than a third-period run for AHS, Pasadena controlled throughout its 67-58 victory over the Apaches.
Desmond Every had a monster game for the Bulldogs.
Every scored a game-high 30 points, including all four of Pasadena’s 3-pointers.
He also totaled four steals, three rebounds, one assist and a block.
Gavin Hollins-Law chipped in with 12 points, four blocks, three rebounds, three steals and an assist.
Jovan Jester added nine points, six rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and a pair of steals.
Mateo Ingersoll and Mansour Sanneh led Arcadia with 13 points apiece.
Jordan Dollar contributed 10 points for the Apaches.
PHS also retired the jersey of 1974 graduate, Michael Cooper.
Cooper played his entire career with the Lakers (1978-90), and over that stretch, Los Angeles won five NBA titles.
Up next: With one game to play, PHS and AHS will both be back in action on Thursday to close out the regular season.
The Bulldogs travel to Muir, and the Apaches host Crescenta Valley.
