Girls Basketball:
Bonita and Glendora met up on Wednesday night in a battle of 4-0 Palomares League programs.
And it had a playoff-type atmosphere on the court at GHS.
The Tartans survived in a 51-48 victory over the visiting Bearcats in the first of two this season with BHS.
Addison Martin had a huge game for Glendora.
Martin had 10 of her 15 in the second half, including eight fourth-quarter points.
She hit two 3’s that were crucial late in the win.
Rylie Anderson had a team-high 16 points for the Tartans.
Serenity Henderson had a game-high 17 points for Bonita.
Henderson scored all nine of the Bearcats points in the third quarter off of three 3-pointers.
Naomi Acuna finished with 10 points, and Tressa Beatty had eight.
Up next: Glendora and Bonita will both be in action on Friday.
The Tartans meet up with Ayala at Walnut High to start the second half of Palomares League play, and the Bearcats host Colony at 5:30.
The tip is set for 5:30 for both games.
