Northview had nine placers at this weekend’s Dick Morris Memorial Tournament in Huntington Beach.
And that was good enough to win the team title.
NHS finished with 219.5 team points, which was 24 more than second-place Hillcrest.
The Vikings had five third-place competitors.
Glendora’s Sam Sachs cruised to the 125-pound title.
Sachs won her first five matches via pin fall, and then the GHS junior defeated Ruby Julien-Newsom of Torrey Pines, 13-4, in the title bout.
Los Osos’ Kayla Ganac defeated Ventura’s Avalynn Ramos, 6-2, to earn the 135-pound championship.
Just like Sachs, Ganac pinned her way into the finals.
