Boys Basketball:
In a battle of 2-0 programs in Palomares League play, Bonita claimed a 70-57 victory over their visitors from Ayala.
The Bearcats outscored the Bulldogs, 42-25, between the second and third quarters to remain the lone unbeaten team in league play.
Colton Perez had a game-high 24 points and 13 rebounds.
Perez was 9-of-13 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Jake Quintana chipped in with 11 points and Hunter Smith had 10, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Jaydin Maddox led Ayala in points (20) and 3-pointers (3).
Josiah Yang contributed 10 points and Brenden White had seven.
Josh Kim scored eight points and Collin Henry had seven points and six assists.
James Kim hit a pair of 3’s and finished with six points.
