Girls Basketball:
Bonita made the most of their final nonleague tune-up on Wednesday.
The Bearcats decimated their visitor from Aliso Niguel, 64-24, and improved to 10-5.
After scoring 11 points in the first quarter, the Wolverines could manage just 13 points the rest of the way.
Amy Pine led Aliso Niguel (1-10) with nine points, including their only 3-pointer.
In comparison, Bonita had six players with eight points or more.
Naomi Acuna led the way with 13 points, and Jordy Demott had 12.
Brooke Van Duyne and Lexi Mercado chipped in 10 points apiece in Wednesday’s win.
Serenity Henderson finished with nine points.
Tressa Beatty had half of Bonita’s four 3-pointers and she contributed eight points.
