Girls Soccer:
Maranatha hasn’t gotten off to the start it had hoped in 2023-24.
But the Lady Minutemen began Olympic League play in style.
MHS shutout visiting Village Christian, 2-0, on Tuesday.
Elisia Parker scored early thanks to an assist by Kate Halvorson to take a 1-0 lead.
Vauna Derderian would double the lead on a free-kick and Mia Madarang would make that stand up.
Madarang had a game-high seven saves.
Up next: The Minutemen travel to Valley Christian on Friday.
The game is slated for 5:30.
