Boys Basketball:
Bonita needed a 37-29 run in the second half to force overtime.
But Arcadia prevailed, 76-71, in Thursday’s Classic at Damien third-round game.
Noa Eteuati Edwards led the Apaches with 20 points.
Jordan Dollar chipped in with 19 points, and Mansour Senneh had 18 in the win.
Colton Perez led all scorers with 26 points to go with 12 rebounds and three steals.
Josh Kim hit four 3’s and finished with 21 points.
Hunter Smith had four 3-pointers of his own, and he provided 14 points and eight rebounds.
Collin Henry only scores two points, but he dished out nine assists for the Bearcats.
Up next: AHS and BHS will both be in action on Saturday to close out the tournament.
The Apaches face Alameda at 6:30, and the Bearcats will battle Democracy Prep at 8.
Both games are set for Charter Oak High School.
