Boys Basketball:
Alameda outlasted Glendora, 62-54, in the first round of the Classic at Damien’s Bronze Division.
The Hornets (12 3-pointers) and the Tartans (11) combined for 69 points from beyond the 3-point arc.
Alameda took an 11-point lead into the fourth period, and they were able to hold off a late GHS run.
Jack O’Marra hit six 3-pointers in the win, and he finished with a game-high 20 points.
Jacob Hodges and Jesse Kim contributed 10 points apiece for the Hornets.
Colton Gray led the Tartans with 13 points.
All nine of Sebastian Demano’s points came from 3-point land.
Max Hilgenfeldt contributed, nine points, Chris Lee had eight and Vince Montalbo provided seven points for the Tartans.
